  1. Virtually every JView related file has changed from previous
  2. betas.  You must delete all previous files (yes even JView.dth), including 
  3. slideshows that you have created.
  4.  
  5. Aside from those bugs listed in the Bugs file, everything should
  6. be working here.  Anything is fair game for comments, including
  7. dialog text being cutoff, spelling errors and general style comments.
  8. In the past I have seen comments like
  9. "... and you already know that Iconifying crashes ...".
  10. Well, I don't know this.  If its not in the Bugs file, assume I
  11. don't know about the problem even if its obvious to you.  Before
  12. you send a comment, check the Bugs file and also To_do.

  14. Any communication must be via email and should be to:

  18. Unless the comment is style/spelling related,
  19. please include the type of computer you have - 486, Pentium, etc.
  20. The amount of RAM you have.  If you are operating over a
  21. network.  Any information about your graphics setup -
  22. the bit depth (8, 15, 16, 24), brand of graphics board,
  23. amount of graphics memory.  If you have any kind of
  24. unusual setup - really large drive with lots of files in a single
  25. directory, etc.

  27. One last thing.  JView uses temporary files that get placed in the
  28. directory that you have declared as tmp (your config.sys file should
  29. have something like SET TMP = C:\TMP).  If JView crashes it may
  30. leave temporary files in this directory (they will always begin with
  31. JVW).  They have write protection on and will require something
  32. like BlackHole to remove (or you will have to edit the settings of
  33. each file and set to read/write).

  35. Those who actively participate in finding bugs and providing feedback
  36. will be given discounts (possibly free) on the final version of JView.
  37. The size of the discount will be a judgement call on my part that
  38. depends on the quality of your feedback.
